So, region is over, along with six months worth of anticipation and stress. How did we do? Superb. Excellent. Get the picture? Haha, it was a good race. Hillcrest took second to Alta, those boys are crazy! However, Jason, our fearless leader, won the race, becoming the Region II Champ! I ran a new personal record (17:35!!), so I am feeling pretty darn good. The coaches did an excellent job with tapering, getting us to peak at the exact time we needed to (my time was 50 seconds faster than last week). What's next you might ask? State Championsips!!! We hope to do fairly well, and personally, I am shooting for a sub-seventeen time.
This season was absolutely amazing, and I am so thankful for all of my teammates and the coaches; I really feel like we have a great bond as a team and our success can be attributed to it. I hope that it carries over to next year; I think we can get first next time around.

I'd love to see that. Two of Alta's top five aren't graduating; the rest are. I think you guys have a pretty good chance if you work super hard.
And as for me, I will probably sluff my college classes for the day to come see you guys run next year. :)
