Weekly Tributes

I have decided to begin a series called "Weekly Tributes". These posts will highlight one object, person, or thing in my life such as my dog, car, music, etc. If we take time to appreciate the simply things in life, we discover they aren't quite so simple.... The first will be on my pooch, Sophie. Here is a little bio about the dog:

• She is six years old
• We discovered Sophie at the Super Pet Adoption on Sept. 13, 2002.
• She was found on the side of the highway.
• Since the sixth grade, I have been spending every free moment with her, including sledding, hiking, running, walking, staring, wrestling, and snuggling in general.
• She is approximately three feet long, and two feet tall.
• She has a long nose (or shnoz as I like to call it), with a grey goatee.
• She rarely barks, but makes many other, er, sounds.
• She is extremely obedient, and refrains from entering the living room and upstairs.
• My mom is obsessed with cleaning up her hair; she vacuums at least once a day.
• She is quite muscular, and goes on runs with my mom several times a week.
• She is the focal point of our household's attention...

This is one of her four milkbone toys, she can't get enough of that squeak!
